Shadow of Myself

I leave a sanctuary
Fade away

Like a shadow into night
I disappear

A haunted calling
For my return

Away from this sanctuary
Back into dark

So much weight
So much pain

I'm but a shadow of who I used to be
If that one still exists

I can't return
But I know I will

To this sanctuary
To where I feel whole

But now, the dark calls
And I must go
